Our Story:
From City Life to Village Charm
In June 2024, we made the bold decision to leave the fast-paced world of UK city living behind and move to the idyllic village of Cómpeta. Tucked away in the stunning Axarquía region of Andalusia, Cómpeta is a place where time seems to stand still. Surrounded by the rugged mountains, olive groves, and Mediterranean vistas, we felt an instant connection to this tranquil and welcoming part of the world.

We created The Real Andalusia to document our adventures and share everything we've learned about the region. From exploring traditional whitewashed villages and ancient ruins to cooking up family recipes passed down through generations, we are passionate about preserving and promoting the true essence of Andalusia.
